Executive Coaching

I partner senior leaders who are committed to their personal and professional development. My tailored Executive Coaching programmes are designed to achieve transformation through a structured approach to self-understanding and taking action.

Transition Coaching

There will always be times when you have to take difficult people decisions and part company with valued senior leaders. Particularly for long-servers this can be an extremely challenging time.  If you’d like to support them as they manage their exit from the organisation and plan for their next steps either in another executive leadership role, or as they move to a non-executive director or portfolio career, I can help. I offer bespoke Transition Coaching for senior leaders. Each programme differs according to the needs of the Coachee, but will include elements of:

Self-understanding – helping the leader gain clarity on their future direction through understanding their strengths, values experience, enabling more focused decision-making and a more targeted search

Telling their story – supporting them to articulate their professional narrative with confidence, refining how they present themselves through their elevator pitch, LinkedIn profile, CV and at interview so their value is clear.

Job market journey partnership – providing structured guidance on preparing for the job market, building relationships, navigating executive search firms, enhancing interview performance and negotiating job offers with confidence.

Transition – ensuring a smooth transition by planning their first months, establishing strong relationships quickly and integrating effectively into their new team and environment.

I also offer Executive Coaching for leaders transitioning internally, internationally and preparing for promotion.

Leadership Team Sessions

Enabling Leadership Teams to understand their unique strengths and preferred ways of working to improve communication, collaboration and performance. Creation of bespoke team coaching sessions to help your leaders understand themselves and others, drawing on methods including Insights Discovery and Strengths Profile.

Insights Discovery is a psychometric tool based on the psychology of Carl Jung. It uses a simple and memorable four colour model to help people understand themselves and the value they bring to the team. It also enables increased understanding of colleagues and their different preferences so they can make the most of their professional relationships.

Strengths Profile. When using their strengths, teams report increased productivity, communication, complementary partnering, trust and appreciation of diversity. I work with your team to help them understand and harness their individual and collective strengths.

Keynote Topics

This high-energy session helps attendees to think proactively about what’s important to them in their career. This session challenges delegates to rethink what we mean by networking and to consider its benefits – thinking about taking a long-term, authentic approach to building and nurturing professional relationships. It includes some practical exercises to reflect on who it would be most beneficial for you to build relationships with, and consider different ways of networking that will play to individual strengths.

If someone suggests getting more visible, how does it make you feel? This session helps you reflect on what you want to be known for at work, and how you can influence it to happen. We focus on stepping out of your comfort zone whilst remaining authentic and pinpointing the difference between talking about your achievements and bragging. It will help you say yes to more of the right opportunities (without saying yes to things that don’t serve you) and avoid some mistakes that could be holding you back in your career. It includes resources and book recommendations for further self-development on these areas.

An introductory session for individuals considering exploring Board opportunities as a Trustee or Non-Executive Director alongside their leadership ‘day job’. The session includes learnings from those that have been there and guidance on how to reflect on your unique strengths, experience and the value you would bring to a Board. There are lots of practical tips including how to present your experience through your Board CV and LinkedIn profile and it highlights the importance of being proactive when exploring opportunities, including harnessing your network. Content followed by Q&A in the group session.

 “Confidence is the gift you receive after you do the scary thing!”

Often people talk about wishing they were more confident. But confidence comes when we invest time practising the thing we want to be confident in. This session helps participants understand the benefits of stepping out of their comfort zone in order to develop and grow and to realise we can’t grow our confidence in something by thinking about it alone. We will link this to the power of understanding and harnessing our energising strengths and our support networks. There will be book recommendations and individual reflection exercises including Heale’s ‘Confidence Formula’.

Many leaders progress their careers by seizing opportunities as they arise, but it’s rare they’ve invested time to proactively create a long-term vision and plan. Their development has typically been more focused on skill / management development, rather than self-awareness and career planning. This can lead to inconsistent levels of motivation and blocked succession plans as individuals’ progression slows.

I help you reenergise and refocus your talented leaders through career development programmes. I create an inclusive and inspiring environment and facilitate a process for them to get clarity on their career aspirations and a plan to achieve it.
